St. John's Church
Looking for Volunteers
Two Building & Grounds Tasks
Before the Consistory starts requesting bids for two small projects we are asking if there might be a volunteer or two who could complete one or both for us.
  • With the completion of the drainage ditch in the back of the church, we need to reseed the excavated area.
  • Once the weather turns cool enough, there is a beehive that needs to be removed from between the stained glass and storm window on the riverside of the sanctuary next to the narthex. This needs to be done before the repair work is done to the trim around the stained glass windows.

If you are willing and able to complete either of these tasks, please see Bill Ruben.

In 1957 St. John’s Evangelical and Reformed Church became St. John’s United Church of Christ as a result of a merger. The denominations of the Congregational Christian Church, along with Evangelical and Reformed Church joined to form United Church of Christ. UCC is a distinct and diverse community of Christians that came together as one church. They joined faith and actions and currently are over 5,000 churches with nearly one million members across the U.S. The UCC serves God in the co-creation of a just and sustainable world. The UCC is a church of "firsts," a church of extravagant welcome, and a church where "…they may all be one".
