Classes is tentatively scheduled for September 30 at 6:00pm. (may change due to families’ ability to attend.) Confirmation Exploration is a two-year program open to youth starting in seventh grade or above for students considering being Confirmed. Classes are held at St Johns but are open to both St. Johns and Hope UCC youth. The first class is tentatively scheduled for Wednesday October 7 for 6:00pm. This will be discussed and may be adjusted at the meeting. (For those students wanting to arrange to take the bus from C-FC that goes by the church, snacks as well as ten-to-fifteen-minute transition free time are offered prior to class.) If you are a parent whose child is going into seventh grade or above, and would like to attend the meeting, please let Pastor Deb by contacting her at pastorstjohnsuccfc@gmail.com. In 1957 St. John’s Evangelical and Reformed Church became St. John’s United Church of Christ as a result of a merger. The denominations of the Congregational Christian Church, along with Evangelical and Reformed Church joined to form United Church of Christ. UCC is a distinct and diverse community of Christians that came together as one church. They joined faith and actions and currently are over 5,000 churches with nearly one million members across the U.S. The UCC serves God in the co-creation of a just and sustainable world. The UCC is a church of "firsts," a church of extravagant welcome, and a church where "…they may all be one".
